| Synopsis |
| |
| Each year, hundreds of thousands of Central Americans enter
Mexico clandestinely on route to the United States. The Infinite
Border is a story about determination and hope, through the
contemplation of men and women who travel in search of better
living conditions, faced with a voyage that may become endless. |

| Director's Biography |
| |
| Juan Manuel Sepúlveda, a graduate of the
Ce n t r o Un i v e r s i t a r i o d e E s t u d i o s
Cinematográficos of UNAM, he specialized in
documentaries and cinematography. In 2006,
he made the award winning film Bajo la Tierra.
That same year, he directed The Infinite Border,
produced by the Instituto Mexicano de
Cinematografía, with the support of the
Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México,
the International Organization for Migration
and the International Contemporary Film
Festival of Mexico City. He is currently director of the FraguaCine
production company, which makes documentaries. |

| As Central American immigrants traverse thousands of miles in search of freedom and economic opportunities
unavailable in their home countries, they face multiple emotional, physical and mental challenges on their journeys. They
possibly encounter several borders where they could face arbitrary detention and deportation, failure of due process and
lack of protection of their civil rights. |
