They learn to be Home Based Carers for their community, transforming

| The Rights Angle 2009 |
| |
| South Africa has the highest rate of HIV infection in the world, with 5.5 million cases reported in 2006, over 3 million of
which are women. Often times, sexual exploitation and prostitution result in HIV/AIDS infection, which in turn leads to the
additional abuses of stigmatization and discrimination. Infected persons deserve an equal right to access health care,
enjoy a life of dignity, and have the opportunity for economic empowerment and freedom. |
