| Synopsis |

| I played 'trust game' as a young girl, a game played with innocence,
for pure fun and joy. Now as a grown up I play the same game to
address and challenge issues of power verses victimization, violence
and viciousness within the politics of gender, cast, race, the world over. |

| Director's Biography |
| |
| Shakuntala Kulkarni is a Mumbai
based artist working with various art
forms and video. She is a graduate
from Sir J.J School of Arts, Mumbai as
well as Baroda and Shantinketan. Her
videos and installations have show
cased at various art shows and film
festivals both in India and abroad. Shakuntala's multi media
installations have been an enquiry into the lives of urban women and
their different spaces, like the home, work, cultural and social space,
within a society which is essentially patriarchal. |

| Women struggle for a definition of personal, intimate and social spaces within a patriarchal society. It is crucial, then, to
highlight and re-conceptualize how everyone can become a part of this dialogue and ensure that women do not feel
threatened, objectified or victimized in both overt and subtle ways. |
